What is Sendent?

Sendent allows you to securely exchange files and emails. Sendent is an add-in and is linked to Microsoft Outlook, so you can continue to work from your trusted email program while you mail more easily and securely. Very useful, for example, to share privacy-sensitive documents or content or to send attachments that are normally too large to email. All files are uploaded to your personal Nextcloud environment from which you determine who has access to them.

Sendent Plans

The type of Sendent plan decides which of the features in this manual you will have access to. Sendent has the following plans:

  • Basic
  • Professional (including all Basic features)
  • Premium (including all Professional features)

In the beginning of the feature chapters (2.1-2.7) you can see for which plans this feature is available.

Sendent features

Brief explanation of the core features that will be explained in this manual.

Feature

What does it do?

Share Files

Upload attachments for your recipients manually or automatically without a size limit to your private Nextcloud server.

Share Public Folder

Share a link to send to your recipients so they can upload files to your private Nextcloud Server.

Separate password

Send the link and password in two separate emails to your recipient.

Activity Tracker

Keep track if your shared documents have already been viewed by the recipient and unshare documents so recipients instantly no longer have access.

Secure Mail

Not only your attachments but also your email body will be uploaded to your private Nextcloud server for maximum security.

Guest accounts

Connect shared files with recipients to a Guest account and even create them automatically. Now frequent recipients always have easy central access to all your shared files.

Settings

Give users the possibility to adjust their personal settings. These settings can optionally be made available for users but will always be overruled by the Server settings.

Access

The Sendent Outlook Add-In settings can be accessed via the Outlook ribbon.

The Sendent Outlook Add-In functions can only be accessed from an email window so not directly from your Outlook ribbon. This could be a new email or a reply/forwarded email.

In the email window, the Sendent functions can be accessed from the ‘Message’ tab.

Or it can be accessed from the ‘Sendent’ tab.

If you don’t have access to “Settings” this has to do with the configuration by your system administrator.
