Settings give users the possibility to adjust their personal settings. These settings can optionally be made available for users but will always be overruled by the Server settings.

Changing settings

The administrator can decide if users have access to the Settings option in the add-in. If you have sufficient rights, you can go to the Settings button in your email dialog ribbon.



All the settings that can be adjusted in the add-in can also be set in the server settings. The server settings overrule the settings in the add-in.

It is possible that certain settings aren’t visible or adjustable for you because of specific settings in the server app.


There are several settings that can be set from this dialog. The table below describes all these settings.

General

Server URL

Fill in the URL of the server you want to connect with.

 

Account

Fill in the username of your account belonging to the server URL.

(Logout might not be accessible depending on the way your administrator installed Sendent)

Language

Choose your preferred language.

Insert snippet location

Decide where the email template will be inserted.

Access to debug mode

Create a log to the ‘my documents directory’ when Outlook is restarted.

Password control behavior

Open the password pop-up so you can easily manually adjust it.

Attachment settings

Attachment mode

Setting to optionally enforce that files have to be uploaded through Sendent. 

o    Trigger on maximum attachment size

Minimum attachment size (MB)

Optional when the attachment mode is set to “trigger on maximum attachment size ”. When the email reaches this minimum size, all attachments will enforced be uploaded to your Nextcloud server.

Secure Mail

Have the possibility to use the Secure Mail feature so the email body + attachments will both be uploaded.

Have the possibility to always use Secure Mail feature for all emails. When enforce is enabled it can overrule the previous activate option when that one is disabled.

Have the possibility to connect correspondence with a recipient to a Guest account.
